This isn’t a “sit and listen” kind of event. Youth will learn through activities that keep things moving and engaging:

  • Interactive advocacy and leadership sessions
  • Games, team challenges, crafts, and hands-on projects
  • Bingo Night and group activities that build social confidence
  • A celebration dance to wrap up the day(s)
  • Opportunities to make friends and practice communication in a supportive space

(Transition-aged youth and young adults; typically up to age 24, which aligns with Oklahoma transition services.)

Southeast Region Youth Expedition

The Youth Expedition is designed to help young adults build real-world skills for school, work, and community life. Sessions focus on practical tools youth can use right away like how to speak up for what they need, describe their strengths, and make choices that support independence.

This event is hosted by Pervasive Parenting Center (PPC) in partnership with the Oklahoma Family Network (OFN) and the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma (DDCO), along with local partners.
